I have been working on test tiles and wasting alot of pieces on my new kiln.

I need a place to start to determine specific Gravity with
Malcolms' Red Shino
Brian Hopkins
to trap carbon.
Here are my considerations.
With Brians thin means really thin!
Malcolms is a little tricker, I loose the orange/red qualities somewhere seemingly determined by thinkness (my test tiles tell me this.)
ALSO can the rapid cooling of a likn change the color?

I seem to rember that John Britt(who gave a lecture this time last year at Penland) said so.
