Hiya,
I too noticed that there were no posts from U.K.
I have never sent pots through the post, and would'nt either!
i am reminded of a scene from an old U.K. sit com from years ago . One =
flatmate comes downstairs in the morning to find that the postman has =
shoved a parcel through the letterbox marked by the sender "records - do =
not bend" To which the postman has added underneath "Oh yes they do!"
Ho Ho.
That's why we dont post pots here!
Sorry not to be more optimistic.
Pat, uk.

Dear Ama,
If you are sending out of the UK, the only carrier that has a good record
and many drop off points is FedEx.

Best,
D

Hi Ama;

I was standing in line in the post office today and I remember I used Royal
Mail to send 4 pots to Dublin 2 months ago. I sent recorded delivery and the
clerk actually let me insured for ceramics. I wasn't so worry that they got
broken, I was worry that they wouldn't even arrive! The pots arrived okay,
but I wonder what happen if I were to claim the insurance. A friend sent
some pots from Ireland to Scotland, a box of baby clothing arrived instead
of pottery - the address were even close.

I had packed many pots for other potter to send to the US - all of them via
FedEx - good service, but they are very expensive. They were all dishes, so
they were easy to pack.

I have to send some pots to Glasgow in a couple of months, do you have any
recommandation for local shipping?

Regards
May

Hi May

Just wondering if the pieces you are sending to
Glasgow are going to a gallery or a private
collection? I'm in Glasgow every once in a while (was
there today in fact!) and would love to see a fellow
clayarter's work in person! Let me know where I can
see them.

Cheers,
Nicole
