I saw 'Rivers & Tides' on a large cinema screen at our local 'arty'
cinema in Nottingham, it put all of the audience into a trance! Never
been at a picture before where no-one got up to leave!

We were lucky enough to have a talk afterwards fom a woman involved
with the film, I think from Canada - she talked about how difficult it
had been to get the film distributed and that they had not had anyone
interested from any of the British TV channels, not even the BBC,
which was a real disappointment to her.

I found a copy of the DVD for sale on ebay, from Germany as it is a
joint German production - I took a risk on it being in both German and
English and I was lucky - it is!

I then went out and bought a DVD player...

Such a beautiful film and an insight to just how effortless Andy
Goldsworthy makes it seem in his photographs. I loved the scenes of
his home village, walking down the street picking dandelions and
talking to the neighbours, just an ordinary day.

Thanks for the reminder to look at his hands :)
