Hello,
I was asked for help in researching Turquoise glazes for cone 6 or so.
My response was that it should be an alkaline base glaze with copper
perhaps from .2% to 4% Fired in Oxidation.
Does anyone have anything to add or ideas where I might find more
information. I have looked in the archives and in a few books but I
have not found much
information at all,
Any help would be appreciated.
Please Cc: so that I can see any posts before the 9:00 pm local time
when my digest gets to my mail box.
Thanks in advance,
Rick

One starting point we used is cone 8/10 copper red reduction glazes.
On our first tests our current glazes all melted at cone 6 and with small
additions of alkaline frit, in this case old ferro 3110 (4110?) we were able
to geta range of quite nice turquoise glazes.
Good luck
