number!! Don't use the mountain in the middle trick!!
I have had the occassion over the past year to cast about a ton of
plaster. Not much by industry standards but quite a bit for me since I
hadn't used that much plaster in the past. After reading several posts
and asking questions I decided to RTFM. Low and behold, right there on
the back of a bag of number 1 pottery plaster near the top under bold
faced lettering (MIXING) is a toll free number that they tell you to
call for directions. I called the number. They called me back!! Answered
all of my questions and then some for FREE. They make the stuff and they
know how to mix it up so that it will work as it is meant to.
Just call 1-800-487-4431 during regular business hours. You all
know, Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm or thereabouts.
One thing that I was told is that the good ole mountain in the middle
technique ain't the way to go.
