Back when I was potting at Darton College in Albany, Georgia, I got
interested in Mocha ware. I had access to my ex-husband's old used cigarette
butts, and used those. I figured that the nicotene concentration would be
greater, so I stripped the paper from them, and soaked them in a small
amount of distilled water. Worked like a charm!
Another tip that I have is that at that time, I was also interested in slip
trailing. Being a Paramedic/RN, I had access to some large plastic syringes
& needles. I used the biggest syringe I could find, (60cc), and a sterile 14
gauge large bore needle. (I sanded the sharp end off) This little creation
of mine made some of the most beautiful slip trailing I have ever seen.
Still have it somewhere, in all my junk that is packed up till I retire in 2
years.
