ceramic wall art... tablets

I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with wall tablets.
I've been really excited to make them for a while now. I used to have a
teacher, Mark Messenger, who did some really wonderful puzzle-piece-type
wall art, but I never really found out alot about them. I'm worried about
how to hang them on the wall. I originally wanted to do the multi pieces
approach that all fit together, but I'm thinking I might do better with
random thrown pieces that are mounted to plywood? or something like that but
I'm not sure the best way to go about it...
Any help would be much appreciated!

Paul,
I believe Mark is teaching at Diablo Valley College in Concord, Calif.
I'm sure Google could give an e-mail or web site, if not let me know &
I'll call over there. Years ago I used to attach altered thrown pieces
on large drift wood pieces. I roughed up the wood good and put deep
fork marks on the backs of the clay pieces before firing. 2 ton Epoxy
did the trick attaching it all together. Mike Gordon

I have made tile murals for years. A lot depends on the shrinkage and
warpage of the clay what you can get away with. I cut the works up and
reassemble them on plywoos after firing. I use a product called liquid
nails to glue it down.
