Just thought I'd add to what Chris Campbell wrote in about the Shakerag
workshops...
I travelled all the way from Washington state to take Mary Barringer's
workshop in Sewanee last June. Mary was a wonderful teacher, the studios
were bright and spacious, the food was mouth-wateringly good, and the staff
were incredibly helpful.
Oh, and did I mention the early morning dips in the reservoir...and the
glittering show that the fireflies put on each night?
Perhaps best of all was the size of the workshops themselves...Mary's was
limited to 13, maybe 14 people...small is beautiful!
I'm making the trip again this June...can't wait!
