Making 'good' mugs is a lot tougher than many people realize. What Vince lays out in his post as good mug making is an example of why it is difficult to balance the craftsmanship of handle practicality and placement;yet still to 'make the mug your own' with that magical ingredient of unique style. But then, that yardstick applies to any functional ware. Some days I think I will never get to the top of that pottery mountain. But I keep trying. Toni Smith in Ohio
