Hi Gail, Mel, Wayne, all...
One of my favorites, was/is the 'Thomas Register'
Cataloge(s)...(now on Cee-Dee of course, which is instantly
about as boreing as anything else on a cee-dee which
used-to-be-a-Book...or Books...)
Which came in like 20 something volumes, hardbound, and each
about three inches thick, the size of Big City 'phone Books
ya might say.
Compared to which, 'Grainger' was like a Business Card...
Thomas Register however, is not something noe may order
from, but is the listing of all member registrants who are
Manufacturers or Suppliers of almost everything tangible.
It used to be ( and I think, still is, ) that if you
ordered their Catalogues, they sent them only for the cost
of the freight.
Love,
Phil
