The hardest thing about my job as a middle school ceramics teacher was dealing with the scrap
clay produced. At the end of each period, about 50% of the clay put out was returned to the
recycle table. It took a great deal of my time and energy to make the clay useable again. So, I got
a pug mill at a cost of $4000. I was able to get the entire amount through donations. Sometimes
to get what you want (need) you just need to ask.

Dear Anthony Smith,
A Pug Mill
One of the first things I installed when I took over the art dept at
Snowtown.
Treated it as industrial equipment and the high school students to use
it with safety and consideration. One of the best behaviour
modification tools I have ever used. We always had superb clay as
well.
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis.
