For those of us who are planning to drive up and back to the conference each
day, what is the parking situation at the convention center? Will there be
a whole day fee or must I pay by the hour- and is there a surcharge for a
mini-van?
Also, anyone know of some near-by restaurants that specialize in vegetarian
food? I would be REALLY happy to hear of a place that I could get something
vegan, though I know that may be asking too much.
Thanks,

carole,
the least expensive thing to do for parking would be to park at the
metro or light rail site and take the metro/light rail or bus into the
city. there is no charge for parking at those lots. other wise it
will run between 8- 18 a day for parking in the city or, you can have
free parking outside
the convention center has a lot of info at its site
http://www.bccenter.org/about/index.html
the MTA site is http://www.mtamaryland.com/index.cfm for where
the stops are.

Hi Carol,
My own experiences so-far, are that 'parking' is a function
of one's creativity and wits, and, so is chow.
I usually invent or discover parking places anyway, finding
them where they are, (or can be made-to-be) instead of
finding them where they are
supposed to be.
The potentials of this of course, will vary with the
situation somewhat.
In indy, I tried finding Grocery Stores to buy food in, and
had no luck in my several forays, while in San Diego, it was
easy.
I am not Vegan but I am happiest as a Vegarian.
Good luck...!
