Hey Clayarters, here's advance notice before notice goes out in=20
Ceramics Monthly....
Lana Wilson is coming to Ceramic Design Group in Steamboat Springs=20
Colorado to give a workshop July 30 & 31st, 2005.
Lana Wilson will demonstrate easy and unusual construction techniques=20
with soft slabs of clay to make simple to complex forms including a=20
teapot, vase and bas-relief tiles. Stiff slabs will be used to make a=20
box with a workable drawer, a movable door, and an inset niche. Lana=20
will show slides of her work, discuss different ways to make intricate=20=
multi-level stamps and demo unusual handles.
She will talk about glazes, glazing, and firing in the electric kiln. =20=
And there will be some hands-on, utilizing Lana=92s techniques and =
adding=20
your own!
Cost of the workshop is $250. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at=20=
the studio, and we will be having a pot-luck style party and dinner=20
Saturday night (don't worry, out-of-towners, our local gang takes up=20
the slack!).
As of right now, we have only 5 of the 20 spots left. Spaces will only=20=
be held by a non-refundable (unless the workshop is cancelled, of=20
course) $100 deposit.
