Subject: Trisodium Phosphate

Trisodium phosphate is used to remove tough grease. In a strong =
solution & using very hot woter it used to remove shellac and varnish =
etc from floors, furniture and so on. I used to use it to stip funiture =
and stuff. BUT VERY CAREFULLY, USING EYE PROTECTION RUBBER GLOVES ETC.)
Trisodium phosphate is longer manufactured (at least in NY State don't =
know if it's federal) in order to staunch the flow of nitrates in the =
waters of our envirenment. The same reason nitrates are no longer found =
in washing machine detergents. There is on the market something called =
TSP meant to mimic trisodium phosphate. Works pretty good but not quite =
as strong. You still have to be carefull with it.

P.S, any hardware store should carry it.
