I was thinking about some of the various items I have used=20

as resists and have come up with a mildly wacky list=85

=20

Vaseline=85 ( danger Will Robinson=85 must be very careful

as it smears and gets on your fingers causing crawl
situations)

oil=85=85=85vegetable, mineral =85=85.soaks in, bleeds & not real =
effective=20

paraffin=85. too dangerous (fire) and smells

wet newspaper=85 works well for greenware & slip applications

masking tape=85. no complaints used on bisque

crayons=85=85.crude, uneven application because of bisque rough surface

candle=85. similar to crayon except I couldn=92t see where I applied it

latex=85. my latest favorite =85painterly, dries quickly & easy to peel =
off=20

=20

I=92d bet there are many odd ball experiments out here in La La Land=85. =

=20

Anyone ever tried lipstick=85.. fried chicken=85.????

=20

Gayle Bair =96 in warm but cloudy Tucson.

So I was invited to a potter=92s house for dinner. She is from India and =
will
make

some traditional dishes (yum)! Now myself and the 2 other invited people =
(
born and raised in the US) wanted to bring=20

something. We each made something Indian. I=92ve been thinking about =
this=85.
How very presumptuous of us. What makes

us think we could make a dish which would be as good as her native =
cookery
or come cloes to her standards???=20

Now she=92ll have to be polite and complement us on our efforts.

I should have made a nice chicken soup with matzoh balls!!!=20

BTW she is self taught and does fabulous crystaline ware!=20
