I can hardly agree that doing a workshop with Cara Moczygemba (
pronounced Mochagemba) would be great. Cara was an artist in residence
here at Nottingham for over a year back in 1998-99. She is a very
accomplished artist. She has a clear method of presentation and an
enjoyable personality.
Her techniques and methods will open up many new avenues for the
ceramist working in a sculptural venue and combining many disparate
sources for forms, textures, and finishes.
Cara is also very accomplished at promoting her work in the gallery
marketplace. She has much knowledge about the ways to promote your work
and get it out in view of the public via galleries etc.
While at Nottingham she had several pieces in major shows around the
country and won awards and sales from those shows. She was an emerging
artist at NCECA in 1999 while here and gave one of the best
presentations at that event. Her subsequent presentations at NCECA show
her to be an artist / scholar of clear presentation and intent.
You will receive full value at her workshop.

Gentle readers --
There are those who will criticize me for being
concerned with grammar and spelling. And I would not
wish to have this post interpreted as a criticism of
Terry S. or Cara M., both of whom I presume to be
excellent people, artists, and contributors.
But if we write "hardly agree" when we mean something
quite different (perhaps, "heartily agree") we do no
one any favors.
For those interested -- I did follow the links, and
find Cara Moczygemba's sculptures quite interesting.
If I had any skill in that direction, I'd sign up for
the workshop in a heartbeat.

Well I can only heartedly recomend doing a workshop with Cara M. Add
to that the setting in Puget Sound and you have a workshop from heaven.
Great presenter and great place.
Cara is a very accomplished ceramic artist who is very clear in her
presentation. Here work is very interesting in it's combination of many
ceramic elements and surface treatments.
