I use a glaze of 80 gelespie borate and 20 custar feldspar for raku
crackle. I added enough of mason stain # 6304 violet chrome-tin to give a
nice color to the base glaze. When the pieces were fired to cone 06 to 05
in a raku kiln and reduced, the items came out looking as though nothing
were added to the base glaze. I just guessed at an amount. I added
approx. 10 to 20% stain. It looked very dark as glaze. Any info on why it
