Hello potters,
A few years ago, I saw a traditional potter from Hungary throwing side =
saddle at the Aberystweth, Wales clay conference. Apparently, this was =
a common way to throw there, and he was not a young man (to the point =
about it being bad for the back). As it was a few years ago, I don't =
remember enough to describe it in detail except to say that both his =
legs were on one side of the wheel. I don't remember that he was =
leaning over in any extreme way. Very different.
