bisque temperature for horse hair decor.....

Does it make a difference? My wife asked me while I was in the shower if a higher bisque would keep the horse hair from making permanent marks on the clay. I told her that I really didn't think so and she asked me to explain. Ya know....I couldn't....So can you?

Thanks

As long as the clay is soft enough to absorb carbon,
the horsehair marks will be there. If the clay were
vitrified, they would not.

Dannon:

Thanks for the help, I was planning to fire about 05 or 04 to toughen the clay.
