I just got home from the Laura Ross workshop in Cincinnati, at the College
of Mt. St. Joe, presented in conjunction with Clay Alliance. If anyone gets a
chance to see Laura in action or is looking for someone to present a great
workshop, she is phenomenal. She is a potter from Louisville, KY, and she is
just great. Incredibly giving of information.

We started the day at 9:30 in the morning, and she didn't stop (except for
lunch of course) until 4:30 in the evening. I have more new ideas swimming in
my head than I have had in a long time! Amazing stuff. She altars thrown
pieces into shapes I never would have thought you could get from the wheel. It's
been a while since I had that "Aha!" moment when someone was teaching, I
forgot how fun it is to spend a whole day being amazed.

I have to say that Laura is wonderful and a great contributor to our clay
group here in Louisville. Her studio in itself is worth a visit as it is so
beautiful. I forwarded your post to her as I am sure she will appreciate
your kind comments.
