public clay studios in seattle

Hello All,

I was wondering if anybody out there was from Seattle or has been to/spent
time in Seattle, and if so, can you tell me about any public clay studios
that might be out there? Currently, I rent space from the Genesee Pottery,
where I have a shelving unit and ^10 redux kiln. Bisquing and glazes
provided by the shop.

I'm looking for a similar arrangement.

Any/all help is appreciated. Thanks a million,

-scott

Hi Scott -

I am a potter in the Seattle area and I teach and do my work at the Moshier
Community Art Center in Burien - a little south of Seattle and a few minutes
from SeaTac airport. Stunning space: lots of electric wheels (18 I think),
4 electric kilns, 1 20 cu.ft. reduction kiln, raku available, slab roller,
extruder, lots of space. Classes are available at Moshier Monday am and pm,
Tuesday am and pm, and Thursday pm. Open studio times are noon-3:30 Monday
& Tuesday, 9:30 am-9pm Wednesdays, and 10am-3pm Saturdays, and are included
in your class tuition. "Studio Only" available as well. Adult instructors
include Ken Turner, John Taylor and myself. You can find out more by
calling Gina Kallman (resident art specialist) at 206.242.7752.

Other studios in the area include Kirkland Art Center (north of Seattle),
Seward Park Art Studios on Lake Washington, The Pottery School in Pioneer
Square (downtown Seattle), Tacoma Community College (also a nice space and
first rate instruction), North Seattle Community College and Bruning
Pottery.

There are 2 primary suppliers in the area: Seattle Pottery Supply in
Seattle, and Clay Art Center in Tacoma.

Where are you? When do you plan to be here?
