I am enjoying all of the feedback that people are providing
to the list. Seems like there are always goods and bads.

The fact that the conference has grown to the magnitude that it has
is wonderful. Despite the controversy it shows that the clay/ceramics
field is alive and growing. I think the last NCECA I attended there
were only 3200 attendees and the only complaint was that the hotel
hosting the event ran out of beer one night.

The fact that the conference has grown so large is wonderful really.
I think there will always be something for everyone, even if it's just the
social contact. A good party never hurts anyone!
I have attended NCECA on and off over the years and there are always
glitches
a.......the organization and the conference seems to have grown despite
that.

I have always wished that it could be held in Canada at least once more
before
I have to hire a nursing home attendant to get me there.
Vancouver is a beautiful spot. (HINT!)

My 2 cents,,,,,,,,,

Kathy (who is saving her toonies for New Orleans!)

It could have been so large this time because it was in a high population
density area with a lot of students able to come. I'm not sure the numbers
would translate to some place like Salt Lake City or Denver. On the other
hand, airfare being what it is, I haven't found ANY place it's been in the
last 8 years to be much more expensive than another. Cost for me has always
been about the same, just takes a little longer to get to some of them, the
fare hasn't been too bad.
