which kiln would be best

I'm currently looking for a kiln that would meet my need two fold. One is
for casting glass the second use for ceramics. The current wiring is 240 50
amp service and while I can upgrade it would be nice to not have to rewire.

I am especially concerned with durability and ease of use when opening the
kiln lid. Scutt has the lid lifter and zone control which makes it really
appealing. Has anyone used a kiln with these two features and does the lid
open with a finger as advertised?

I'm in the seattle area and any recommendations would be appreciated. I'm
tired of getting tennis elbow from lifting lids and many of the lid systems
just don't work that well, pulleys overhead are a pain and often don't work
right (most likely an operator issue but more times than not it's poor
design and could be engineered much more user friendly). What I'm not sure
if the hydrolic lifts get ruined from the high temperatures.

Any help would be appreciated, especially those who are doing ceramics but
require even heating. Thoughts, insights.... Thanks
