i had a flat top downdraft kiln in a small attached shed.
The exhaust fan was in a duct, as Phil has suggested.
Also there were vents in the walls near the floor by the
burners. This worked, though positive air input will work
even better.
i might be able to dig up some pics. It worked well and
never overheated.
