Dear Clayarters,
Steven Branfman just called to let us know that Jared is showing some =
real signs of improvement. His doctors have concluded that the pressure =
on Jared's optic nerve is not a tumor, a disease, or an infection. The =
problem probably arises from something as simple as scar tissue and is =
not a serious problem. Jared's vision continues to improve and the =
ringing in his ears has stopped. He has not needed pain medication--not =
even a Tylenol--for the past three weeks. He is now sleeping regularly.
Jared has re-started physical therapy and will begin his next round of =
chemotherapy next Tuesday if his white blood cell count is sufficiently =
high enough.
So, after a very frightening last report about NCECA time, this news is =
very promising.
Thank you all for your concern for Jared and his family. Please write =
to me off-list if you want information about contributing to the Jared =
Branfman Fund.
