Mel

I down loaded the plans. Thanks to you and Kurt and all others involved in
this project!!!

Not having ever built a kiln before nor having been around many except
mostly electric, could you go into a little more detail on the flue
construction, (double venturi) or maybe different terms that a novice
builder could put into use???

Nearest gas or wood kiln to me is about 60 miles away.

For those who could find the plans from the address Mel gave, try this
one:

To begin - the exit flue (opening in the wall which is the passage into the
stack base) is 31.5 square inches (7"wide and 4-1/2" high).
Beyond mentioning the above and to further clarify the PMI MFT drawings of
the "stack base" & ":double venturi" I must refer you further to page 20 -
22 of Nils Lou's book, The Art Of Firing.

Please don't take this as a "cop out" but Nils' explanation and the
photographs in his book clarify that issue better than I can.
