poetry and the clayart drought

I missed clayart these last few days but ended up going to bed early,
which made my husband happy. I even accused him of hacking in to crash
it. Happy to hear it was just a paperwork glitch.

Another nice side effect was that a few bored claybuds wrote me off
list. I got into a conversation about pots and appreciation with Marty
Morgan (how could I have missed you at NCECA?) and shared a quote that
seems relevant to mel's last post:

"There's no money in poetry... but then there's no poetry in money,
either."

Yours
Kelly in Ohio... where we had the first real spring day today.. I am
raspberry-cane-scratched, sun-freckled, dirty, and that wonderful
working-outside tired that makes for good dreams. The woodpecker who
comes every spring arrived today to hammer his territorial mating
version of "hey, baby! woohoo, check me out!" on our metal chimney cap,
assuring we'll be up early for a while in the yellow spring mornings.
Connor spotted a robin and just about did backflips over it! And Molly
found two little purple crocus in the grass. They say it could snow this
weekend but I refuse to believe it.

Jeff and the kids are watching their weekly David Attenborough video
from the "Life of Birds" series, and this one is about raptors -- so I'm
getting off the computer to join them.

"Birds of prey know they're cool." (Larson, The Far Side.)
