trimming the inside of a bowl- and being lefthanded

I am lefthanded but throw mostly like I am right handed with a few of my own
odd techniques. I sometimes find myself timming a bit on the inside of some
of my larger bowls. I am assuming it's because I put more pressure on the
inside as I am throwing, leaving throw marks that I sometimes don't want.
Antionette, any chance you are also lefthanded?

No Judy, but while you mention this; I had a person that has previous
training on the wheel in my studio so that she could shape up her =
skills.
She was struggling to throw right handed and after I observed her =
carefully,
I got the idea that she should throw left handed. She tried that and
immediately improved about 100%. Funny enough, when she trims, she needs =
to
switch back to right hand trimming. It was during assistance to her that =
the
inside trimming and throwing from the inside came to mind.
