Regarding cornbal fenceposts.
If you do it in a cliche-filled stale image, it IS cornball. It can be done well.
All the great painters have painted still lives of flowers. Their personal vision
of the flowers is what made them cornball or not.
Perhaps it would be a real challenge for you to do something in the local visual vernacular without it being cornball.
But that would be actual work.
Maybe the source for vinyards could come in the forms, not the image.
