Grey House Potters, 5509 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA, currently has both
studio space and juried retail pottery space available for rent. We are
open Tuesdays-Saturdays 10-5.

Grey House has been run as a cooperative for 25 years, selling primarily
functional pottery made by its 8 members. We have a strong customer base
of loyal customers, and are committed to a regular advertising program.
There are 4 main partners, who run the business (make decisions, keep
track of bills, pay the rent, lease, etc), and have a larger selling
space. The additional 4 selling space renters pay about $115 per month
for their selling space plus a sliding commission based on their sales
volume. Currently we have a selling space available, although it is
anticipated that a partnership will also be available in the near future.

Selling space members sit at the shop one day/week from 10-2, with an
extra partial day or two between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Partners sit at the shop one day/week from 2-5 and also one weekend
day/month from 10-5.

We have 8 themed shows every year, sending out announcements each time to
our mailing list and to local papers. Our shop is in a converted
bungalow on a main road in Arlington, with parking both behind and in
front of the building. There are three electric kilns in the building,
two privately owned and one belongs to the shop. Members can make
arrangements to use these kilns.

The studio space currently available consists of a basement space, which
goes for about $96 per month, and 1/2 half of studio on the main floor,
which goes for $75/month (entire room would be $150 when available). All
renters have 24 hour access to the building.

Please contact me off list for more information: Jan McQueary,
