trimming.

Trimming becomes essential when it will improve the form and shape of your
piece or when it will help to even out the walls. Trimming comes in many
forms and not just by trimming a foot rim. When one designs a piece, one
should already know whether it will need to be trimmed or not. Just my
opinion..

When I read the first post on the jurors rejecting anything
where the bottom was trimmed my thought was that they were
looking for the pattern from a cut-off wire. It is
conceivable to me that this could have been a requirement
to be in the show. Which would be OK, if so stated
beforehand.

On the other hand if they rejected anything that had been
trimmed because in their mind that implied less than
perfect "craftmanship" then that is pure snobbery.

Or, at least in my mind it is.
