Sam, he is a Kyoto potter. I was first made aware of his pots
there.
Kamada is well known, so he is probably in some of the higher end
shops here in Mashiko, but I haven't seen the work here. There are
many folks doing yuteki (oilspot) and yohen tenmoku at a very high
level in Japan. Kamada is just one.
Kamada fires high fire in electric. Maybe folks firing in
electric might find his work inspirering:
