Hello Dan Hill,

My name is Kristen and I live in Nagoya. If by chance you (or anyone
reading this) are around Tokoname on a Sunday, perhaps you'd like to
visit a ceramic project I'm helping with. It's about 20 minutes
south of Tokoname station by car....but actually closer to Kaminoma
Station on a different train line. I'm one of many volunteers
helping two artists, Ximena and Steven, build a 3 meter by 10 meter
ceramic amphitheater called eYama no Hirobaf. If you call me at
090-9921-5549 (this is calling within Japan), someone can pick you
up. We're at the stage now where we are beginning to build a huge
kiln around the piece. We plan on firing next spring. For more
information about the project, please check out:

http://www.stevenandximena.com - this is the most recent website

http://www2.aia.pref.aichi.jp/voice/no15/15_international_aichi.html
- this is an old article in English about the piece

http://members.at.infoseek.co.jp/mugenan/mg2/bk-01.htm - this is the
first website for the project. It's all in Japanese, but there are
some nice photos.

Take care and enjoy your travels in Japan.
Kristen

P.S. To everyone in the Clayart world, thank you. I rarely write,
but I always love to read what you're writing, thinking and feeling
about clay. Thank you. :)
