It's been ages since I've written, but I've been lurking and reading and
working. Some thoughts -- the people who make up this list are the most generous
and patient people I have found. I see many new people come in with hands
open wide, asking question after question after question. Just like me over a
year ago. For the most part you weed 'em out and treat them decent --
personally I would tell some to do their own d&5$m thesis research elsewhere. But
that's me.
I had the great, good fortune to meet a fellow clayarter, from a relationship
we started off list, almost two years ago. I am so bowled over, elated and
really fortunate. It's so nice to know that talented gentlemen exist and that
courtesy and kindness are still valued. Did I mention talented? I had a ball.
Last year at this time I was wigging out about doing an Open Studio sale,
other than the usual 'what to wear' I had a multitude of questions and fear but
with help of others and some research in the archives, I did pretty darn good.
I am pleased to say this year they called me and asked me to come back. That
call put me in the Gratitude Frame of Mind to folks like Snail, Kathie W,
Bonnie, Lillie, Wayne S, Charles M. and my loopy laughing Dragon Woman up north.
Among others.
I hope everyone's Sunday is merrily rolling along, I've busting out bowls and
have even ventured into the realms of sculpture (oh my!) Still haven't got
my own studio but that's not stopping me
Stay well folks, I'll try to contribute more in the future but I have a new
school to teach in, more classes to take and as I said to my friend "Do you
know how hard it is just for me to keep my ears clean?" I'm doing good if I get
to work with two socks on my feet and not one dropping down my pants leg!
Don't laugh, it happened.
PAX -- Jonathan in Los Angeles, Glaze Quest continues (and I've hit some real
walls, let me tell you)
