Hi,

I have been using Polycarbonate for quite some time,
but would like to switch. I am starting to run out of
my lexan stash, and HDPE is about 1/3 the cost (for
same thickness).

I have been using 1/4" thick lexan for all the dies,
but dont know if 1/4 will be too flexible with HDPE,
or if I should bump it up to 3/8".

If nobody knows, I'll have to experiment...but the
plastics place is a hundred miles away, and i'd rather
make that trip only once to buy a 4x8 sheet.

The dies for the North star extruder are 1/2 ",which seems very rigid
with a four inch span. I am almost sure that they are HDPE.

I am wondering what would work, other than Baltic birch plywood with the
9" span on the Bailey?
