Dear Paulette ,I can say something about this.
I dont know when first preparing a glaze if it will need to
be flocc. or deffloculated. What I do know ,is that when it becomes gelly
you have to Floculate ( I use Epsom Salts, thanks Ron) and when it
hardpans you have to Deffloculate.
Generally glazes containing some kind of materials that sooner or later
disolve some alkalis into the glaze, tend to deffloculate it, so most of
the times you end floculating them.
