drying cone packs on kiln

In a hurry to dry out my freshly made cone packs, I put them on the
just-fired bisque kiln lid and left them overnight. Now, the clay seems
harder than air-dried clay and I am wondering if the heat affected the
cones. Do I need to make new packs?

Thanks.

Carole, it is safe to use your cones unless they have developed cracks.
(Cones are easy to break, because they are unfired clay.)
