We have 1 opening in Sandi Pierantozzi's class and 2 openings in Nick
Joerling's class in Shakerag Workshops in Sewanee TN. Sandi is teaching a
class June 12-18 entitled "Handbuilding Functional Pots," which will focus
on designing functional ware, primarily using slabs but also pinching,
pushing, darting, and paddling clay. Nick's class June 19-25 is called
"Pots and Possibilities," and he will demonstrate how to alter and combine
simple thrown forms in order to develop new pieces. Shakerag Workshops is
located on the top of a mountain in Tennessee, and we emphasize good food
and company for our weeks together. Our fees are $550 for tuition and all
meals, and housing costs range from $125-$250 for the week. For more
information check out the website (www.shakerag.org), or contact Claire
Reishman (931-968-0210 x 3165).
