Hi:

I saw this recipe and thought: This looks familiar.

This glaze was originally published in Ceramics Monthly about 20 or so
years ago. The person who formulated this glaze is Canadian potter, Harlan
House. I've used this glaze, in a couple of varialtions for many years,
both oxidation and reduction at cone 10. I changed the original
glaze. Took out the zinc ox and raised the silica for better fit with my
porcelain bodies.

Here's the original recipe from Harlan House.

Peach Black (cone 10 R)...........as I said above, it works well in
Oxidation but it's different than a reduction fire.

Potash Feldspar 48.48
Whiting 16.57
Zinc Oxide 2.19
Epk Kaolin 10.24
Silica 22.52
Red Iron Oxide 9.67
Bentonite 2.0

The difference from the original recipe is that the decimal values have
just been rounded off. I doubt there would be much of a difference between
the two recipes.
