the pots arrived in their container this morning
on schedule.
everything inside was just as it was when it left minnetonka, mn.
perfection. i cannot be more pleased.
the wonderful woman truck driver said to joe, `best unload i have
ever had...quick and perfect`. it took 18 minutes, and she was gone.
it was a perfect packing too. (of course, that is why it looked so great
when it was opened. it could not move. we made the container into a two
room condo.
nothing moved a quarter of an inch.
all screws where in place.
i cannot recommend `city to city` moving more expressly.
they did things by the numbers, communicated with me
on all fronts...and hit their time schedules within minutes.
they also use the logo...`room to room`.
so, next i get on the plane thursday and fly to california.
i hope i get there just as easily.
earl will have clayart for a couple of weeks.
stephanie stepehenson will write a review for cm.
joyce will be at the opening and will give you a version
of what she experienced next week.
so,
all in all. all marks have been hit with this project...on the button.
so,
the rest is up to the viewing public.

Mel,
Great that everything arrived intact. Good luck with the show. I am sure it
will be a great success. We look forward to hearing all about it.

Having once had my work, along with many other artisans and antique dealers,
on a big moving truck returning to California after the Grove Park Inn show
in Asheville, NC be completely incinerated in east Texas (metal truck
remains were melted), it's great to hear about this outfit.
But could you give us some sort of contact info. I just googled and found
"City to City Moving" showing up on many different websites. There are
individual city website branches, including one for Los Angeles Moving City
to City Moving, that are part of the corporate entity ApartmentStores Moving
and Relocation. And there are many others that use the term City to City.
Even www.citytodity.com and www.citytocitymoving.com take you to the website
of Door to Door Storage & Moving.
So, which is the "real" one that earned your blessing.

chilly today for May.

Mel:
What saddens me is that what much of the viewing public will not
know is how important what they are looking at really is to those of
us that work with it. (I had to re-read that last to make sure it
made sense.) A show opening is not the place for heavy education,
but lots of schmoozing and "air kisses" if I remember from years
ago...
I've heard privately from a few people who plan to be there, and
privately from many, many more of us who lament not being able to
attend. Not that you need a cheering section...but you and Joe and
all concerned with that project certainly deserve one.
Break a leg, Mel! (Isn't that what they say before a show to wish
luck?) And don't get all caught up in that glitz and glammer out
there. It's seductive, for sure.

Can't wait to see the show at AMOCA with mel and Joe.
This is a wonderful showcase of ceramic art in Pomona, CA.
The food and drink are top notch.
See ya at the openning.
