Architectural Ceramics with Peter King. We have also invited his wife,
Xinia Marin, renowned Costa Rican glaze guress. Peter is one of the
pioneers of Studio Architectural Ceramics. He produces elaborate
fireplaces, archways, columns and freestanding sculpture with vibrant
ornate features on a scale viewers are often unaccustomed to seeing in
ceramics. His work can be found in numerous public and private spaces
throughout the US.
This workshop will delve into Cone 6 glazes in reduction as well as spray
glazing techniques for architectural work. We will also work on plaster
cast molds, and high relief construction,
This workshop will aslo include a hands on installation of the fireplace
made in the 2002 workshop.
There will be an evening potluck and slide show midweek. Cost $500.00.
