While I've had this stint of the blues I got in a bad mood about some
signage that has been appearing in my hood- The Wine Route. Signs which
depict the family as blonde haired, blue eyed husband and wife. What's this
got to do with clay, you ask? #1 it's bad for my business. #2 the arts
community is a very liberal community that embraces all of it's members #3 I
have a number of friends and customers that are quite happy in same sex
relationships.
I've been involved in a get rid of those dreadful signs campaign here at
home.
I would like to think that where I live depicts an postive liberal minded
energy. This signage is bad energy. These signs offend many good people.
Like Kelly, if you offend a friend you offend me.
This is the 60th anniversary of VE Day in Holland. My uncle Jimmie the
potter who spent 5 years of his life in WW11 talked to me endlessly about
why we need to protect peoples freedoms. My grandparents died during WW1
fighting the same regime.
I guess this past month I thought alot about them and why I must remain
solid blue.
The moral majority wants Canada, too. I'm rolling up my sleeves.
Cheers,
Tony
P.S Thanks Vicki for Steve Earle. I need not remind you his best fan base is
in Ontario-Canada. We do love our bad boys.
