lana wilson workshop - two available spaces

Hey Clayart -

We've got two spaces up for grabs for a weekend workshop with Lana=20
Wilson, July 30 & 31st, 2005.

Lana Wilson will demonstrate easy and unusual construction techniques
with soft slabs of clay to make simple to complex forms including a
teapot, vase and bas-relief tiles. Stiff slabs will be used to make a
box with a workable drawer, a movable door, and an inset niche. Lana
will show slides of her work, discuss different ways to make intricate
multi-level stamps and demo unusual handles.
She will talk about glazes, glazing, and firing in the electric kiln.
And there will be some hands-on, utilizing Lana=92s techniques and =
adding
your own!

We will provide breakfast and lunch, and will have a pot-luckish type=20
informal
dinner with the artist Saturday night.
Cost of the workshop is $250.=A0=A0We will be taking $100 deposits to
reserve space with the balance of the workshop due by July 22nd.
Deposits are only refundable if there is someone available to fill your=20=

space.

Saturday
9:00 =96 breakfast at the studio! We will have coffee, bagels &=20
toppings, pastries, oj, milk, etc that will
also be available all day for snacking.
10:00 =96 Lana begins!
? Lunch will be provided at the studio, and we will break by =
consensus.=20
We will have sandwich fixings & salads, etc.
4:00 -Lana finishes for the day
4:15/4:30 =96 Martha Hibberd & Terry McGrath Craig of the Hibberd =
McGrath=20
Gallery in Breckenridge, CO will give a talk =
about=20
their experiences as gallery owners and field a question and answer=20
session. Check them out at
www.hibberdmcgrath.com
7:00 - an informal, kinda pot-luckish get together with the artist and=20=

the gallery ladies.
