Friends, Mell, Everybody,
Can anyone point me in the direction of a design for fiber blanket
kilns? I'd like to be able to recommend these as an option for a kiln
that can be inexpensively shipped to remote locations. I know the
refractory blanket can be expensive, but shipping should be cheap.
I believe the best option would be something that is essentially the
same, size-wise, but adaptable to differing fuels according to what's
available. I would also hope that the fiber blanket could be backed
with common red building brick, for structure and heat retention.
Suggestions anyone?
Thanks,
Reid Harvey
