Thanks for the reply. What he said was once you ever fired ANYTHING other than porcelain in that kiln, you could never fire porcelain in that kiln ever again. The analogy that struck me was it like saying if you cook chicken on your stove, you could NEVER cook beef, lamb, pork or veggies on that same stove EVER again. It just didn't make sense. If I ever fired a redart load it was all redart. Stoneware and light colored clays the same principle. I knew about the blushing thing so I understood that .
