If it is hard, PMC, like clay can always be rehydrated. Unwrap it, put a
few drops of water on it, wrap it up, look at it 24 hours. Silver-Clay is
made of silver, water and a gum like cmc.

Anyone have any idea if PMC has a shelf life? I have two packs that are
about two years old. Have been tight wrapped in plastic in their original,
unopened packages.
