Well, this is sort of off-topic but a while back the subject of kaolin came up. When I went into to get a Co-cola from the convenience store on one of my foraging expeditions, there at the register was a box full of bagged clumps of what appeared to be rock. They were labeled "White Dirt." The label on it stated that it came from around Phenix City. AL. The gentlemen behind the counter said that a lot of people came in to get it. Some pregnant women came in and said they craved it. Also certain ethnic and elderly people.
When I read the label to see what it was, it stated it was pure kaolin.
Just thought that it was sort of interesting.........
