Workshops

2314. Low Fire Glazes and Slips: From Scratch to Batch NEW
Instructor Scott Lykens
Join former Laguna Clay Company Technical Consultant Scott Lykens as he
takes students on brief, hands-on journey into low fire slips and glazes and
how to make them from scratch. Save lots of money by eliminating having to
buy commercially produced underglaze like slips and glazes. Art teachers,
stretch that limited supply budget you have. Most of this short class will
be spent formulating and mixing glazes and slips. All participants will
receive recipes, a materials supply list, and hands on training in this very
simple process of palette production. If you can make a box cake you already
have all the ceramic training you need to succeed at this workshop.
