I have always done my bisque firing
in an electric kiln and then the hi fire glaze in gas.
My electric kiln is old and saggy (kinda like me now)
so I have switched to firing in the gas kiln.
Its a 20 cu ft downdraft with a DDE controller.
Any advice on firing schedules. The temp indicator will
indicate ambient temp not the temp of the ware right??.
Clays utilized are Tucker's 1080 and Prostone as well as some Laguna B mix
and I want to make sure I burn the organics out of the bMix.
Going very slow to start...I set the temp to 1900.
Thanks in advance.
