Hi all:
Occasionally when I fire my horsehair pots I notice some
yellow on the pot after it is fired. I know this subject has
been mentioned on Clayart before, but I have never read
a clear answer. I fired the other day for the first time in
several months & I even noticed yellow on the kiln
shelve during the firing & later on my pots. I am assuming
it is something in the propane? It doesn't happen very often
& usually it only involves one pot for some reason, but this
time it got the whole load. Does anyone have an answer
for me? Is it possible to remove the yellow?
